1. Is an app needed?
Not for the customer. They scan a QR code, hold their phone near an NFC card or open the menu link: everything happens in the browser, with nothing to install.
2. How does the customer pay for the order?
At the counter, in cash or by card. MenuPulse does not offer online payment: the order is sent to the team and the payment is recorded on the till screen. If you compare several solutions, ask whether there is online payment and a commission on your sales.
3. Does the customer have to create an account?
Yes: an account is required to order (first name, last name, phone and password; e-mail is optional). It is one more step for a passing customer, worth knowing before you choose. The customer then follows the order in their account (pending, confirmed, being prepared, ready, completed); they receive no SMS or e-mail.
4. Dine-in or takeaway?
Dine-in, the customer enters their table number. For takeaway (Click & Collect), they enter their pick-up time, written freely.
5. How is the team alerted?
Every new order appears on the till screen, with a sound reminder if it stays unanswered. Depending on the setup, an alert can also arrive on Telegram (if your group is linked) or in the browser of the till device. These alerts depend on the device and its settings: they are set up with us, with no guarantee on every device.
6. What does it not replace?
Each customer uses their own phone: it is an alternative to a dedicated kiosk for dine-in and takeaway orders, not a replacement for all of its functions. No kiosk hardware is supplied, and online payment is not offered. A question or a special request is always settled with the team.
7. How much does it cost?
MenuPulse costs €50 per month; the ordering option adds €30 per month, so €80 per month together. These are reference prices in euros, excluding VAT (HT); installation and duration are agreed with you before any commitment. The ordering option requires the digital menu. The details are on the Ordering page.
Your menu stays in your hands
To take orders, your dishes must be in the menu. You can fill in your menu yourself from your admin area, or hand us the initial entry; in that case, the terms are agreed before any commitment. After that, you stay in control: dishes, prices, photos and availability are edited from your area, without contacting us for each change, and a hidden dish also disappears from ordering.
You can see a real menu: the menu of the restaurant Hayal is online, and the ordering screens are in the demonstrations. No figures from studies are cited: this guide draws on how MenuPulse has been checked to work and promises no result.
