Digital menu for restaurants: what to check before choosing.

A digital menu is not a PDF put online. Here is what it should allow, the most common pitfalls and the questions to ask before subscribing. By Elyria Digital, updated 25 October 2026.

What a digital menu is

A digital menu is your restaurant's menu shown on the customer's phone, usually after scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC card on the table. Unlike a PDF, it is a page designed for a phone screen: you scroll, filter and open a dish sheet.

The difference shows quickly. A PDF forces you to zoom, downloads slowly and is only updated if someone replaces it. A menu page is edited in seconds: a price changes, a dish runs out, it disappears.

Where MenuPulse stands

MenuPulse is the digital menu created by Elyria Digital. The menu costs €50 per month; the ordering and booking module adds €30 per month; payment is made at the counter, with no online payment. We enter the initial menu, you edit it afterwards. The interface exists in 12 languages. You can judge for yourself: the menu of the restaurant Hayal is online.

Some questions above (what happens to the menu after cancelling?) are handled with us directly. No figures from studies are cited: this guide draws on Elyria Digital's practice and promises no result.

Reference prices in euros, excluding VAT (HT). VAT and invoicing terms: agreed with you before any commitment.
